since Jens been here....

On Saturday we spent the afternoon introducing Jen to Belfast. We went to St. Georges Market and ate at Belfasts oldest cafe. That night Jen slept for 12 hours while i finished some assignments. Sunday, we spent all day on a bus tour of the beautiful North Coast. We saw Carrickfergus Castle, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (which we bravely crossed), Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, and Bushmills Distillery.

It was a beautiful day, although extremely windy, and we got a great tour....until the bus broke down for an hour and a half at the very end. But that didnt take the wind outta our sails - Jen and i had a fun time on the bus and ate our chocolate digestives. On Monday we went on the bus tour of Belfast and learned all about the history of the city and Northern Ireland, the politics, architecture, culture, religion, and people. We saw the primary school that CS Lewis went to, the shipyard where Titanic was made, the peace wall, and lots of other stuff. After the tour we spent the whole afternoon shopping and ended our day walking around the Continental Market where i ate an Ostrich burger for dinner and Jen had some yummy polish food - cabbage stew. After admiring the German sausage stand singing '80s music we went to a wee pub called Muriel's to chat about our adventures. We were brought back to reality on Tuesday as i had class all day but Jen got a taste of life at Belfast Bible College and got to meet everyone here. Then, in the evening we went out to see A Christmas Carol - in 3D at the cinema. Wednesday afternoon we walked all around the Titanic Quarter and saw the dry dock where she sat and the pump house and cranes that made all the ships. We ventured back into Belfast and ate dinner before going back to the Continental Market for dessert.
Today i had classes again all day and Jen went into Belfast to pick up some souvenirs before we head down to Dublin tomorrow!
