This weekend - the last weekend before homework started - i spent hanging out mostly in Belfast. Friday night i went out for dinner with people from the hostel Tania, Ruth, Andy, Eric, Mary, Tanner, Emily, and Shelly who goes to BBC and lives in the area. We had a really fun evening first at a place called
Wetherspoons for nachos and burgers and then to a really cool
cafe for dessert. It was so much fun to wander around Belfast together and get to know some people that i
haven't really hung out with too much. Emily and Tanner are married and both at school here for a year (i think), they are from Tennessee. Eric and Mary are also married and Mary is studying here for two years (i think) and they are from Nova
Scotia Canada. They all live here on campus but in apartment style housing so they
don't hang out with everyone in our lounge as much as the single students. The evening was a nice way to get to chat with them and for everyone to become better friends.
On Saturday i went into Belfast with Sarah to get a birthday gift (for someone who is probably reading this) and we ended up spending all afternoon downtown. We had tea and coffee for about an hour and wandered around shops until everything closed. Then we just walked for another hour and found some cute shops and restaurants to revisit before heading home.
The weekend flew by just as quickly as the weeks have flown by.
And now its
Monday and i should start my first paper that is due in a couple of weeks.
